One small apple may be more carbs than you are allowed in two days. Shortly, you feel miserable and depleted (and you are) and lose energy and vitality. You become tired and hungry all of the time. You keep on focusing on the foods (carbs) that you cannot have and it becomes a mind drain also. In addition, without all of the naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients found in fruits and vegetables, you eventually get sick from this type of diet plan. It is very risky for your health. Don’t do it.

Why Low Calorie Diets Don’t Work? Starving yourself is not the way to lose weight. Whenever you adjust the volume of foods or caloric intake on a daily basis, your body adjusts to the new amount of food it is receiving and your metabolism slows down to cope with the situation. Your body then gets worried that it is not going to get the required amount of food each day and begins to go into survival mode and actually begins to burn protein as a fuel source. Your muscles shrink so the body can use what limited amount of food you do ingest to maintain bodily functions and reduce muscle mass. What this means is that your body saves the stored fat and shrinks your muscle size and strength to cope with the situation. You begin to shut down!! Never ever starve to lose weight. You arms will get skinny, but you will still be fat! In order to burn fat, the body needs to have the energy to actually burn the fat off and starvation does not work.

If you look around at products today you see low fat this and low fat that as an option in many of the foods you buy. Everyone is so concerned with lowering the fat calories in their food choices, then why we all still overweight. The low fat lifestyle is not working just look around you. Second, not all fats are bad for you, so cutting all fats out of the diet can actually be unhealthy for you. Just eat the right fats and you do not have to make low fat choices ever again.
